the new update coming out soo also includes the ability to change your spawn point .. id like to know if u guys like this or not?

Don't forget that there's a chance the server won't be updated at the same time, so don't update until the server does if you don't want to be left out.

A good idea would be to make a backup of your Minecraft "bin" folder incase you accidentally do update. Saves faffing around trying to find an older version of the game.

Off the top of my head, copy and paste this into a text file and save as backup.bat

@ECHO OFF
echo Backing Up Files...
mkdir C:\minecraft_old
xcopy %APPDATA%\.minecraft C:\minecraft_old /s /e
echo Backup Complete
echo Files copied to C:\minecraft_old
pause

It will back up all your Minecraft content to a folder on your C: drive.

That is for windows though. What about Mac?
