Hey eveyone, you might remember me from that awesome crazy fools uk server, and from builds such as The Titanic (master minded and spear headed by droid225) Or the guy employed at Potions R us (from the marketering genius Stevetaz121) The Creator and ruler of the crazy Irish snow golem castle (location of the Church of QOTSA_101. located near spawn, look for the flag ) or simply gravity's b***h.

During my time at CFUK i've met some amazing people, been involved in some huge builds, and made some great friends, and i was interested in how you came to play here and a little about yourselves



So, how did you arrive here? are you are its creator? did you get directed here? Or did you simpy stumble across this treasure?

I'll start

After finally purchasing Minecraft, after watching many videos of it, espeacially the adventures of a spaceman and his dwarf friend , I jumped into single player, just to get a grip of the game, and after falling into holes in my first few worlds without any means of escape, i finally constructed a sand house for shelter, then venturing off to find coal, all was going well, i had torches, tools and chests, and a nice little area for myself in the base of a mountin, equiped with the right gear, i mined, and hit a chasm, and after looking around, lava struck.
I then decided i wanted some company, and managed to get a friend to reactivate his private server, and put in a third player slot, but a problem occured, either it was the fact the server was based in Norway or my own connection, the lag rendered me unable to move normally, so i began a search of Uk based servers, and came across some rather un-friendly self promotions, with the only way to get on a white list was to be a "Pr0 gam3r with Pr0 building skillz, to be judged by the server owner and Pr0 clan leader" looks like another 10 year old got a hold of mummy and daddies credit card again , so i revised my search criteria to friendly uk servers, i came came across this gem, cfuk, and was supported and helped by its members and staff from day one, and i've never been to another server ever , i must say, i love this server and its community, it can only get better from here .


So there is my story, now its time to share yours

Well, I just bought minecraft after watching videos by two people, Seananners and X (davidr64yt). Played the single player for a while to learn my way around. Eventually I got bored and saw that Seananners did a video about another server. So I wanted to try and find that server, turns out that the IP was hidden by the owner and the only way to get on was to find it. I couldn't find it, so then i searched for a different server and i found CFUK. So CFUK has been the first and only server I've played on and I have enjoyed every minute here.

People at my school were all crazy about minecraft when it came out, but i didn't really know what the big deal was. I ended up playing it only in about Beta 1.6, and immediately, I got addicted, and started watching videos made by so many people (can't name them all). My friend (who had stopped playing minecraft) lent me his minecraft account and I started to play a lot more after I discovered the wonders of multiplayer. Later, my friend had discovered this server after it was featured on the minecraft monday show (by bebopvox) and he told me about it the day after. We both came on the 1.8 map and found this server to be the best one we've ever found. Later, I got my own account and started playing even more on this server.

I watched some vids in youtube and OMG I must have this game. Tried it in Classic Free Mode and finally bought it in Nov. 2010. Played in SP some hours and felt boared, google search MC Multiplayer Server and CFUK is in the first page !! And stayed here ever since !!! Cheers CFUK BEST SERVER EVAAAAA

I think I saw some vids and I wanted the game. I bought it and tried single player and thought "This was a waste of my money" because I was frustrated and bored. I googled "minecraft servers", and found a server list. CF:UK was number one, so I went on, and found a very good community.

Heh well i have a looong story of how i got to this server.

Well everyone at the college where i was we're obsessed with minecraft. After watching a few lets play videos and was eventually persuaded me to get the game. After starting on my first singleplayer map i kept drowning because i had no idea how to swin. smooooth.
Anyway after several minutes i finally figured out how to swim and was on dry land. YAY! which led me to trying to make a house out of sand (which didnt go well and turned into a hole which i cowered in every night as mobs ran around) After starting several different single player maps i eventually got bored, and started looking at multiplayer. Well i found lots of horrible servers which nearly put me off smp until i eventually started on a server with a friend. just 5 of us on it. was fun for a while until he turned into abit of a dick and started trying to act like a god and restarted the server when ever he had a hissy fit.

Then back on the SMP hunt. finally settled on an alright server for awhile. it was alright but it came to a time when the 'mods' got bored and while having a wander around my house, decided to set tnt to it. Well id now ventured into the depts of this server and it was awful.

Again searching through servers not finding anything until a friend recommended this server. i was skeptical but decided to try well here i am.

I discovered minecraft when i was browsing machinima for videos (at the time i was a big roblox addict,god i have nightmares when i look back to that 'game') and i stumbled across a user called DavidR64YT, doing a tutorial on how to build a house

after that i checked out his channel and at first i thought it was crap (u know, graphics and Griefers) but the more i watched the more i got enticed in the game. Now i love the fucking game to death (even more so if i didnt find out about MC i would still be playing that (wretches) game)

As for crazy fools i discovered it back in 1.3_0.1 when BeBopVox uploaded the 14 episode of his show minecraft mondays. I signed up and the rest is history

Let's see here... I saw my older brother playing Minecraft with his friends and thought to myself 'Ahmagawsh it's a creaty game without goals so I can't fail it'. I then went to download it and saw it required some form of online payment that I don't have. So I did the only logical thing and... Pirated it (The pirating site is now shut down lulz). Ofc pirated version had only SSP. And that got boring and I craved more. AND SO I did the honorable thing and mowed our giant lawn, forked over 20$ and got the game. I then called up my only friends and was all 'HEY GUYS I JUST GOT THIS AWESOME GAME' and they were all "Dude we've had this since like... alpha... We told you about it in October and you saw the graphics and was all like 'Meh.'" And I was all 'Oh yeah...' So they told me they had an awesome server that my friend Nathan AKA Samplename had found. I then logged in and my mind was blown. And I never left. Well I take many long videogame vacations but I never abandoned the place... The rest is history! >.> And yes, the pirating bothered me for awhile until I found out Notch didn't care so much as long as it led to the person buying the game. And I did. So my mind is at rest now...

For me it was about something different. My bare knuckle street fighting days were over and my fast car and fancy woman lifestyle was starting to have a negative impact. I was almost at the stage of impersonating Twilight 'vampires' by wearing lipstick, putting talc on my face, and running up trees.

I needed something to do while relaxing that didn't involve liquids with a high viscosity or large German sausages and Minecraft seemed to tick all the boxes.
As danger is my middle name forking out 15 readies for a game I'd never heard of was a doddle.

One day I was sitting in my Telly Savalas signature underpants while searching on Google for national naked twister competitions, and I came across the Crazy Fools server. Not literally of course, that would be wrong.
Within a matter of moments I was slaying mobs like a boss, building structures that the worlds top architects would be proud of and generally just being awesome. In chat my sick sense of humour went down like rum cake at an AA meeting and I was accepted into the fold with other like minded individuals such as Q, Yama and that Jinx character.

That's my story.



Its also possible that Richie told me about the server after I'd played single player so I bought the game and joined up.

Ok I will open the book of my memory...
Well it all started when I was walking to a corner shop for a can of monster. I was tired and was thirsty. For some reason this shop had a poster up that was about minecraft (This was back in early indev/infdev days) So I did the logical thing and looked it up. And came across a pirating link, so I dled it, and had a quick go. Abit like squippit I felt horrible about my self when I found out that it was being deved by one guy.

So skip forward a few months and smp was starting to pop up (In alpha I think) and I searched for smp servers and oddly enough this was the first result! And ever since I have been a crazy fool.

TL:DR: Saw minecraft poster. Searched and played mc. Smp was released. Joe find smp server named crazy-fools. Joe happy.

Simple as it is, Naske showed me the server. But i think my first visit in Minecraft was in 1.2 beta, i played for a long time with TooManyItems on a singleplayer map. Then i got tired of Minecraft and deleted it. After a while i heard Naske talking about Minecraft again, and Crazy Fools. I remember he said it was the best server you would be able to find, and true enoug, i havent visited on single server, better than CFUK. Anyways, i saw Naske play on CFUK for a while, and i decided to install it. Then i got on the server, a short while before we changed map, 1.7 i believe.

i simply googled "minecraft mp servers" and then i found this. i played on it for a while and then i (for some mysterious reason) stopped for a about 6 months. then i heard from Naske who began to play on this (i think ) and then i decided to return. end of true story
