I'm at work, so haven't updated yet (I haven't even tried 1.6 yet) but how is it running on the server? I ask mainly because it seems to have broken the live map, or is that just at my end?
Also, has anyone played with bonemeal and grass since updating to 1.6.6?
I haven't tried going online until now, but I'm not able to connect right now.
Not too bad, I am noticing chunk error as an issue, and the /kit has a little bug saying the cooldown is 1day and 9mins but you can /kit after 10 mins.
The kit bug was there this morning before the update. I think it's something to do with time zones?
Missing chunk errors, tickrate seems better, though.
Excuse me if I'm being a bit thick - I kept my client on 1.5 whilst the server was running that version, but in the time between the server being updated to 1.6.5 and 1.6.6 being released I never updated. Now if I update I'll go to 1.6.6. Would there be a way to downgrade?

You don't need to downgrade from 1.6.6 to 1.6.5, you'll be able to connect either way.. The only time you would need to downgrade is when we you are on 1.7 and the server is on 1.6.x
Basically only "big" updates would cause trouble with being able to connect to a server that's not updated.. You could be on 1.6.10, you'd still be able to connect to the server aslong as the first 2 numbers are the same (x.x)
Client 1.6.6 - Server 1.6 = No problem
Cient 1.7 - Server 1.6.6 = Problem
