So I was doing some maintenance on my profile and I wanted to change my picture, but it wont let me change it, any requirements I'm missing or s it broken?

When you click on profile there's a link at the bottom of all the profile infos "click here to update your information" On that page everything is changeable including the avatar picture.
If that doesn't work any error message you get?

Yeah i just confirmed this "Operation cannot be completed at this time" This is when you're attempting to upload the new image.

Didn't work for me too but different error: Either destination folder does not exist or is not writable. (chmod 777) [...foldername...]
I assume broonie worked on the webserver to get the new creative server running

Ahhh, broonie needs to put R/W rights on the profile storage folder. Easy fix generally. chmod is a command used in linux for user rights chmod [foldername] [group].. i think... my linux is a tad rusty. Anyway so that's the problem there by the looks of it.

chmod needs only the mode bits for user/group/world rights, 4=read,2=write,1=execute. So chmod 777 would be read+write+excute for all.
chown is for changing owner/group.
But i'm definitly positive broonie knows all that

Definetally. I'd hate to see CFUK running on a win server.... I had been learning linux from Techmav a while ago. Got the hang of a lot of the base commands inlcluding setting up multiple network drives to auto mount. Was quite proud of myself at the time. Now that feat is like "really? that all?"
