Hi guys,

I saw that the old classic vanilla server has been shutdown. Fair enough - most people I guess want to explore the 1.7 stuff, me included!

Is/can the classic vanilla map file be available to download please?

I never did quite get around to my plans to make a tour-guide of the classic vanilla world. I'd planned to ask the forum for landmarks, then I'd visit each of them and make a photo/video album of my journey around - so we could all look back nostalgically. awwh!

I guess this is still possible, and if the map data is still around for download - people can even go on their own tours.

Just a bump to see if this is possible?

Poots and I had some good builds on this map that we'd like to visit again so is it possible to have the map available for download?

I have asked for old world maps to be made available to download a number of times before and been totally ignored, my gut says they are lost which is a real bummer but I would like to be proved wrong.

I don't think your posts are being ignored. I'll try and explain...

Broonie is very busy at the moment trying to get everything ready for the 1.8 release, as well as updating the CFUK plugin to work in conjunction with the new Mojang EULA.

The updates to the CFUK servers involves a lot of coding and testing. As you are probably aware there have been a few glitches here and there as the new code is being implemented, which take extra time to find the cause and fix (and then there's the server RAM problems to take into account too!).

Broonie, like a lot of other people here, also has a full time job and a personal life to attend to. If it's anything like my work at the moment, I often get home from work and either have to crack on with something for work, or I'm too tired to play (let alone get on with a load of coding).

So, please don't get upset or impatient. I'm sure it's on Broonie's "to-do" list, but there are "bigger fish to fry" right now

When classic maps can be downloaded (we have the bandwidth to do so) it will be unlocked on the Downloads section on the website.
