I am quiet confused on the matter as does this mean he new old map is now obselite or do we have t go to his new world.Just curious and can't wait to go with 1.8 stuff and also 1.8.1 is almost out from dinnerbone

Hey Time. Just to clarify your query. The new world will be expanded past 1k after the 1.8 update and plugins have been coded fully but the old world will still remain through the portal access on the new world island.

We'll be back to how it used to be with new/old world existing side by side. The old world will only be removed if it gets seriously corrupted or we open a new world after this 1.8 world. That shouldn't really happen for a long time as Broonie is always trying his best to make sure the vanilla map stays.

The clean survival server is just an option to allow users to play/test with 1.8 features

I'm excited to play 1.8 stuff, but I'm also keen not to abandon the 1k-1k world or the old world with docks-and-ship at spawn.

...I'm still feeling nostalgic about the old-old server with the desert spawn-shack and portals to water world etc!
