These rules will come into effect as of 26/03/2011 00:01 GMT


IN-GAME

• Avoid building silly buildings, these would include 1 x 1 towers, rude gestues, and such.
  
  
• When using signs, avoid insulting other players and offensive language (this includes, intentional or unintentional, racist remarks).
  
  
• Do not beg for helper, mod, admin. The best policy to get these types is not to ask at all!
  
  
• A pink name can be obtained for a small donation of 300 GBP, or when an unusual event occurs when annouced by the Admin.
  
  
• Ask before you teleport to a player, we will not restore your items if you die, be killed, or get stuck.
  
  
• If you have been banned from the server, and you disagree for the reason of why you were banned, please appeal in the Ban Appeals forum.
  
  
• You are fully responsible for your account and its safety. One minecraft account will be treated as a single individual, not a shared account. [2 people, 2 accounts, 1 person, 1 account.]
  
  
• If a high offense is comitted, all Minecraft and Site accounts belonging to the same computer may be banned.
  
  
• Moderators can ban for any justified reason in which may affect gameplay, the community, or the server in a negative way [lag, crashing, taking advantage of scripts.
  
  
• Modifications and hacks are generally frowned upon, if it affects the gameplay and/or expierence of other users, you may be banned. If you are unsure whether your hack/mod is permitted, please ask an Admin.
  
  
• Distrubuting hacks will get you banned.
  
  
• Publicly annoucing the use of hacks will get you banned.
  
  
• Flooding the chat will get you banned.
  
  
• Typing in capitals repeatly is forbidden.
  
  
• Connecting to Minecraft using non-original files, or a different protocol to Minecraft [unless for server monitoring purposes at a max rate of 1 connection attempt per 5 mins] is not permitted.
  
  
• Advertising other servers on the in-game chat other than CF | UK is not permitted. Use the submit link option for that [more information below.]
  
  
• Do not invite other players to test, or help you with your server in any part of CF | UK
  
  
• Griefing is disallowed, and if done will be dealt with strictly.
  
  
• Fire starting is not permitted.
  
  
• Flooding with lava and water buckets is not permitted.
  
  
• Talk in ENGLISH only in public chat, any language is permitted in private chat.
  
  
• Support can be given via a message to a mod.
  
  
• Displaying rare materials foolishly [building a house out of iron blocks etc] will not be insured if stolen and/or griefed, use common sense.
  
  
• If you believe you have found a bug, contact a mod and DO NOT EXPLOIT IT.
  
  
• Do not idle at peak times in which the server is busy.
  
  
• An administrators decison is final.
  
  
  PVP
  
  
• PvP is on, spawnkilling, camping, assrunning [stalking a player to kill him repeatly.] is not permitted.
  
  
• Do not enforce these own rules yourself, contact a helper or above.
  
  
• Be respectful and don't be an arse.
  
  
• PvP can be carried out at the full agreement of the other player targeted only. If the player does not wish to be killed, do not kill, respect his/her wishes.
  
  
• Unrestricted PvP can be carried out in PvP 'zones', these have to be an enclosed fenced area with plenty of signs notifiying players they are in a PvP area.
  
  
• PvP can also be carried out without permission to deter griefers ONLY if a mod/helper is not online. Screenshot evidence MUST be provided.
  
  
• Unrestricted PvP can also be carried out in dedicated arenas, players must be notified [via sign or chat] that they can be killed by other players in the arena.
  
  
• Unresticted PvP is fully permitted in the Nether [AKA Hell], the only exception to this are: the main portal room and it's walkways.
  
  
• Moderators and Helpers are fully permitted to access [via /tp] anyone who any reason, whether for routine checking or dealing with a situation, you must respect this and attacking the mod you may become banned.

WEBSITE RULES

• 3 accounts permitted per computer maxium, any more and all accounts will be banned.
  
  
• If you forget your password, contact an administrator via email at [clickable email]
  
  
• Talk in English only, again save other languages for PM's
  
  
• Spamming and/or flooding is unacceptable.
  
  
• Offensive language is a big disallowed and word filters are in place, attemping to avoid these word filters may get you banned.
  
  
• Advertising other/your own servers is disallowed, in-forum and in PM. If you wish to advertise your server, see SERVER SUBMISSION section.
  
  
• Respect each other
  
  
• Moderators have every right to close topics for whatever reason, deletion should not happen. [expect in rare instances of MySQL failure, or hardware failure]
  
  
• Ensure your data is kept up-to-date and the information you provide is accurate.
  
  
• DO NOT TALK IN CAPS, and try to speak as correct English as possible. We understand it may not be your first language, so we will not be strict about it.
  
  
• Harrassing and insulting other players will be dealt with seriously, and if regarded as an serious offense, authorities may be invovled.

SERVER SUBMISSION

• Submitting a link to your server website can be done at the Links page.
  
  
• In order for this to happen, you must have a clear link-back to our website which is easily noticeable.
  
  
• Administrators decison is final.
  
  
• Bad mouthing other servers, and/or attacks and insults of CF | UK [crazy-fools.co.uk] will result in removal.

TEAMSPEAK RULES:

• Respect others whilst in chat
  
  
• Insulting or annoying players will not be tolerated.
  
  
• DO NOT SHOUT VERY LOUDLY.
  
  
• Try keep sound effects/music to a minimium not to disturb others.
  
  
• Try to keep it to English in this channel.
  
  
• Obey all other rules stated on the website.
  
  
• Don't be a moaner, moooan.
  
  
• Don't advertise other servers, use their own teamspeak for that.

Very good flight I think broonie should make it so when a new acount is made it takes you dirrectly to the rules when the first login is done im no programer so I dont now if it would work or not.

Flight, now that fire starting is allowed on the server (with fire spread disabled) do we need an update to this rule?

The rule mainly relates to griefing, starting fires in builds that don't belong to you / trees / etc.

Even with fire spread disabled, there can always be an 'accident' where an update breaks this protection.. Hence why fire starting in an irresponsible manner is still frowned upon.

EDIT: OK these rules and the ones on the website aren't the same. Namely, the TeamSpeak section is missing. They should be the same, to stop people making a fool out of themselves for referencing the wrong ones!! >_<
