I hope these problems are resolved soon These problems, plus a handful of other personal scenarios, are why I haven't been on at all for a couple weeks.

Needless to say, I'm seriously getting 'the itch' but if it isn't running, I will have to make do with single player (noooooooooooooo!!)

Got a senior of the tech support looking through the system now.

He hasn't noticed anything unusual with the performance of the system itself or anything unusual in the logs, might be another finger pointed towards Notch.

We also have a couple of workarounds to try aswell (as well as a dual core server we can trial, lol) we're working as hard as we all can try get this resolved, since it looks like 1.6 isn't coming any time soon.

Have there been any performance improvements in 1.5_01 ?

More specifically, the limitation to merely a single CPU thread?
