Community? Project
Trollox, Thu Apr 19 2012, 08:11PMHey Guys, I realized that our minecraft personas are quite under developed in the world of sports so i thought that maybe we could organize some kind of community project to make a football field or a gymnasium of some kind.
I can't do it on my own, unless i get special permission from the mods as i already took up a 50x50 spot near spawn.
Hope you guys are up for it, im thinking 100x50 Green field with lines, and maybe some stands on one side, like a small football field.
What u guys think?

1st of all when did i ever mention egghand?
and michael brought up a good point in chat yesterday, that there is no point if we cant use it, so unless we figure out a way (possibly switch to rugby) and use a white wool block to throw around or a snowball.
i like the olympics idea as well, lets see if more ppl get on the project

In the last map one night we had a race along the deck of the aircraft carrier. There were different obsticals along the way to overcome, and whoever got to the finish line first got a prize. It was later modified so that there were archers along the way shooting at people. So, why don't we build a race arena?

i like the obstacle course idea, i remember that race on samples aircraft carrier, it was really good fun.
And it really doesnt matter if we call it a soccer stadium or a football stadium does it?
Theres no rule saying that we cant make a stadium because people dont play that game as much in their country, american football and rugby would be almost identical in minecraft.

^^ like for the obstacle course, and we can use the "field" as a part tiem obstacle course if ppl want to play something else

I think we need a stadium, AND a race arena. The stadium could be built above ground, and the race arena below ground (would have to be several blocks deep to allow for obsticles to climb)
