How to fix live map when its awaiting updates.
Michael_scott, Mon Jan 07 2013, 10:32PMThis is a guide on how to fix the livemap when its awaiting updates. It doesn't render new blocks but will show player locations!
In short clear your cache.
If you dont know how to do this heres a bit of help.
Google Chrome!
Open Chrome, Press Ctrl + H to open history, Click "Clear all browsing data" and then tick "empty the cache" ... FIXED!
Internet Explorer!
Open Explorer, Press Ctrl + Shift + Del, Select "Temporary Internet Files"...FIXED!

unfortunately no effect. player locations update just fine, but the actual landscape has not updated for a good while now =(

Player locations have always updated for me and i never clear my cache.

Yeah FWIW on internet Explorer Control+F5 is Refresh with extreme prejudice, but it still doesn't refresh the map. I'm wondering if the map updates when the server restarts.

The server restarts daily so no doesn't help. Most likely some parts of livemap code need an upgrade. Only Broonie can fix that.

I suspect it's the auto-update in the settings or the actual code for auto updating being (possibly) outdated.
I'm familiar with the use of Dynmap and remember a short while I had to re-render the map daily at a time no-one was on due to a similar problem. A definite pain. If it's not the settings, then likely it wont be fixed until the mod updates =(
