FTB and FTBunleashed Banned or "Restricted" items list

Welcome to the FTB/FTBu banned and problematic items/mods section. Please be aware that this list may be changed at any point given patches, mod updates or allowances from Broonie.

Please follow a few simple rules.

• If you are unsure if you can use an item please check here first before use.

• If you find a problem with an item please inform us on this post http://www.crazy-fools.co.uk/p/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?36636 with a description of the issue so we can add it to the list.
  

• Broonies word is final. Please do not pester him with "please allow this item" requests. If it's banned it's banned for a reason. You can however discuss it in the server suggestions forum.

At this point the [Banned], [Restricted] and [Advisory] items include:



Computer craft - [Banned]
This also means turtles

ICBM's - [Banned]
The Nuclear missles

Portal Mod - [Banned]
Yes this means no portal music discs

Chunk loaders - [Banned]
Any form of chunk loader besides devices that chunk load as standard such as a quarry. The steves carts loader cart is still craftable however there are severe server issues using this.

Gravity Gun - [Not banned]
At this point is up for discussion with staff and broonie. Dont! remove blocks that arent yours or pick players up without permission!

MFFS forcefield - [Not banned]
Do not set the field for kill/remove items in overworld! unless the boundary is within your home walls. This way any killing or removing of items within your home is due to someone entering without permission.
Nether is still permitted for these settings however we ask that you do at least set a decent warning range.

XyCraft tanks - [Not banned]
These have some irritating issues causing server instability. please avoid using until further notice. Use Railcraft tanks or quantum tanks for large storage.
[Update Broonie:- May use one but if problems start appearing they will be banned again]

Power armor and mobs - [Not banned]
The power armor seems to cause issues with some mobs. The wither boss being the worst of them
(Trust me i should know... i caused 4 server crashes in one day due to that...)
Please be careful when combating boss enemies.

Advanced Pumps - [Not banned]
These create a rather fantastic but otherwise devastating issue whilst pumping lava. i wont go into detail however i will just say that the lava glitches and will not flow properly also creating server instabilities often resulting in a chunk reset.

Ender Tanks (possibly "Ender storage mod") - [Not Banned]
Apparently there may be an issue with chunk resets as researched by JackTheTech and WhoIsYou. At this point we haven't seen any problems however please keep this in mind if you are or are planning to use Ender tanks.



As this has come up a few times.
FTBunleashed is on the "Default" installation. If there's anything not on this list that cannot be crafted. That's probably why.


NUKES - [Banned]
(Not includung Nuclear reactors)

Chunk loaders - [Banned]
Any form of chunk loader besides devices that chunk load as standard such as a quarry. The steves carts loader cart is still craftable however there are severe server issues using this.

Advanced and basic Information Panels - [Banned]
These were the cause of the major server issues resulting in Broonie being forced to do a complete map wipe (on two occasions). These are banned for the forseeable future. As such are also not craftable.

Micro Blocks - [Not Banned]
You will suddenly find any microblocks have vanished and you cannot place any new blocks on that space. Procedure to fix this problem is to place a piston adjacent and activate it extending the piston into the space where the micro block sat.
This will clear the glitch and allow you to place blocks again.

EDIT: Seems to have been fixed. Use freely

Liquid routers - [Not Banned]
Be careful with these. I managed to crash the server when it was connected to both a tesseract and a Railcraft tank via liquiducts. Not sure exactly what caused the issue.

DO NOT Leave any spawners running while offline. This can seriously degrade server performance and if serious enough can result in action taken against the player/players in question.
