Now this is a good turbine....

My turbine was producing 100000 r f/t at 7000rpm but had dropped to this before i realised I should screenshot it

Looks like you've spun it up too fast if I remember correctly.

Have they updated the fluid rules since Monster as I found they were a bit weird back then and eventually settled for building the reactor and turbine adjacent with no pipes.

I can't remember the numbers but I seem to recall a good turbine would fully power one and a half MFR laser drills.

laser needs 20k RF/t and a full sized turbine can pump out 28k RF/t (but that requires ludicrite) and 24k with enderium.

as for the liquid, we are using tesseracts (inf, bandwidth).

Well they might have fixed the energy values since Monster, but back then the turbine seemed to outperform the calculation. The enderium one seemed to power five prechargers with lots of energy left over, though it could have been cable limits.

FWIW with Ludicrite you appear to only need 32 blocks, or 4 rings. More than that and it spins too slow. Add 10 sets of 8 blades and the total length is 16 blocks meaning a horizontal turbine will fit within 1 chunk.

If power converters hadn't been so broken (and iridium so available) I might have had a serious go at UU-matter in Monster but Rotarycraft gives it as a byproduct of processing "Shiny" metal.

Direwolf20 is another story and the quest for compact EU generation continues.
