FWIW doesn't Compact Machines trigger a whole new "dimension" for each machine block that's set up? Assuming its going to be a popular early game mod that could be a lot of dimensions, and as you travel into the block they'll be actively loaded not just stored.

I'm aware that AE spatial storage appeared to make dimensions for the stored space too but that was kind of endgame and I don't think there were all that many of them, also although it was hinted that you could store yourself I don't know if anyone ever did.
