Spawn Airship Build (possible contest?)

There is an open plot at spawn which would be ideal for getting a community build going. The idea is to construct a tall docks with 3d plots (ie height limits too) for players to build their dream airship! steampunky dirigibles, dieselpunk contraptions, whatever floats your boat!
If enough are interested we could maybe make it interesting and have a competition, maybe even sweet talk the lovely Broonie into giving out a prize?

Well by the time we have the tower built and the contest setup, perhaps with the nuclear snowball up for grabs we make it a xmas competition? Build could run from 1st - 25th dec like an advent calendar, winner gets the snowball to end all snowballs, losers get a lump of coal!

For those who haven't been on the server for long I should mention the destructive nature of nuclear snowballs.There are small instances of the item still on the current map.Ill let you find out the rest

That does sound like fun. Maybe we can all get together during fall break. At least for me, school has been giving me way too much assignments.

This is my concept idea I have created for the tower for the contest.Its based on a planetary model so combines steampunk and organic together.
Alterations welcome.Currently we have the space outside spawn point as the space to build it but perhaps this space isnt big enough?

Ah a fellow imgurian!
Design looks cool, but I don't get where the airships dock. Is that what the lines above the planets are?

So the planets would each act as a docking station to land on.We should probably have some plots in the sky so ones not docked create a build in motion.
On second thoughts I think moving the tower to the ocean is a good idea.More space and we can use the original space for some themed stuff.Perhaps a garden to contrast the steampunk feel?
