Proof of Concept for Notebox Mechanism

The far center on lapis blocks and far right on golden blocks are the 5-clocks I'm using for inputs to the system, from there the lapis clock outputs into a T flip-flop while the golden clock feeds a convoluded delay tower which then feeds into a flip-flop and that feeds another flip-flop which leads into a NOR latch and the notebox while the lapis clock+flip-flop setup also feeds the latch. The combination of the golden clock's delay tower and extra flip-flop and the NOR latch cause for a rhythmic beat that changes at various intervals, the box will be replaced with a chord group which will be the rhythm section of my "ensemble".

I'll make more such clock and latch systems to feed more boxes for harmony, melody and percussion sections and link all the starting clocks into another T flip-flop which will be set on/off by a pressure plate so that when a person enters the room/house and steps on the plate the music will turn on and when they exit and restep on the plate it turns off.

Bit space consuming I know but hey, instant music for the dweller to listen to when chilling at home smile.

i have found out that in the music biz, clocks are laggy and create beats that are out of rythm. isn't it better to drop the clock? also, with a clock you only get an odd numer of notes in a beat rather than the 8 beat that is basic for music. i

not really, with that rig i hop between 3/8 (triplet) feel to 4/4 feel. the NOR Latch and the opposing clock add the possibility for a change of time signature

EDIT: To note, the NOR latch goes and pushes one of it's outputs all the way to the main clock that eventually feeds the notebox(es). The main clock being way in the back denoted by the lapis blocks wired together. So when the two clocks aren't synchronized (almost always) the main clock system is delayed causing a _.._..3-bar rest beat with _ being sound and . being a felt rest.

You can actually make clocks with an even number of ticks very easily by using the North/South quirk.
