Introduce Yourself!

tried searching and scanning around for an introductions section and couldn't find one! so I thought I'd start while suppressing my MC addiction as the server is being migrated.

Tell us how you found CFUK, how long you've been playing Minecraft. What you've built in the past and what projects you plan to build etc. Anything you like so we can get to know you more and be nosey

So here's my piece:

Hi, I'm Diablothe2nd.

I've been playing Minecraft since November 2010 and stumbled across CFUK while frantically searching for a UK based, or at least mostly UK populated server.

I haven't played for any length of time on other servers due to them either being non SMP or simply glitchy, laggy and griefed. I do have one claim to fame in that I managed to get onto the Deadmau5 server which was truly epic, however didn't get to see the big man himself.

In single player and playing my home hosted SMP with my fiance I've not really built a truly HUGE project, but I've built a castle in the shape of a creeper and my longest run in one direction while disarmed without getting killed on hard setting was 16,000 blocks in one direction.

I've now been playing on the CFUK server for almost a month. In that time i'd like to think i've gotten to know the regulars and didn't plan on joining a village as i didn't know how long i'd be there for. then i was invited to Rdeedfrey's former MegaCity and settled in a treat, helping him furnish a house he made and building my own. we then dug a 44x44 area right down to bedrock with the plan to build a to scale (well, almost at 94%) copy of the London Gherkin. Sadly it was never finished due to a problem involving a map restart.

After just two weeks of playing I was impressed with the server that much that I donated. and then donated again to help Broonie upgrade the server to what we should (hopfully) get settled on in the next few hours.

My plans on the CFUK map as it stands is to take it steady for now, building a small hamlet in an area I call Bay Hills a thousand blocks away from the spawn. then if the server stays steady move on to bigger things that will make the other community members something to be proud of
