Monitoring the CF | UK shop today I've managed to observe some results:

• The shop is running VERY slow, about 5-6 seconds load time. This is disgraceful.
  
• However it is site-wide, could be server problem?
  

I did make some configurations to the server on the weekend. [Changed httpd service to run on a service under a user with strict permissions rather than administrator] which may of caused the issue, will check logs when I have access to the server tomorrow.

Well, we've had around 5-10 users a day visiting the CF | UK shop which is in beta, I'm unsure whether anyone has bought anything yet - be able to update you on that on Wednesday.

If all goes to plan, and 5 successful purchases go through, I'll be pretty much ready to brand and release the product into an RC for finalising. Once I get a more rounded idea how its working, and all bugfixes are in. It should be ready for general release.

I've got a slight idea on how this product will work - just now the CF | UK Shop plugin provides the shop, ordering, and procesing interface. There is one slight thing missing however, invoices.

The customer usually likes to have a proof of purchase, and I've decided to include this in a seperate plugin. Why? So it works seperatly from the main shop as ordering != invoices.

I may also include support for .PDF generation, if not I'll just let it generate on its on in a seperate .html document (rendered by .php obviously.)

As well as these official commercial products, I'm also going to be releasing a couple of 'freebie' products over the next few devoplements.

Keep an eye out for these, although they will be submitted on the e107 plugin database aswell as availabile on this website.

So I've released an early version of CF | UK shop v1.0.0, currently its in beta as most features go untested.

Once I start to see results, I'll finally make it official then provide some short term bugfixes after that.

In other news, I'm going on a coding hiatus for a little while.

Programming the CF | UK shop has practically exhausted me, I've learned so much from this project - security, methods, loops, I could probably class myself as an 'average' programmer.

If I only knew what average was.

Shortly a while ago we moved over to a new server, due to the tragic problems happening at 110mb.com

However, things are beginning to look up, and we may move back.
