1.6 is out...

1.6 is now officially out, and so is the final changelist. You can find the list itself here http://mojang.com/2011/05/25/minecraft-pocket-edition/
But some quick points that Crazy-Foolers have been talking about (that I know of);
- Nether is supported in multiplayer (server property on/off)
- Record player now supports 15 songs, but there AREN'T any more songs in the game
- Booster tracks sped up
- Fire spreads slower and not infinite
- Network traffic more compressed (less bandwidth, more server cpu work load)
- Arrows shot by players can be picked up by other players
- Rain sounds now play on fast graphics (pfft)
- Fixed animals only spawning near light at night (I think means animals now spawn in any light)
- Fixed a lot of client/serverside bugs (records, door sounds, zombie pigmen, trees)
So, there you have it. Remember. DON'T UPDATE YOUR GAME until the server has been updated, or back up your /bin folder so you can revert and get back on the server! -

Depends on how long the bukkit team take to update bukkit. Broonie also has to be satisfied that it won't just crash 24/7 . -

Please broons don't update the main server to 1.6 until notch fixed the bad bugs… tools… braking, duping… it's worst than 1.5

It seems the duping tools are fixed; http://mojang.com/2011/05/25/minecraft-pocket-edition/ However he tweeted that 1.6.3 still has a cpu hogging bug, and they're working on it.
I wouldn't worry, it seemed to take Bukkit a good week to get caught up with 1.5, so I doubt the server will be ready sooner. -
Scratch that, he just tweeted that 1.6.4 is out. Presumably that fixes the CPU problem.

I still don't get how notch can't learn from his mistakes. When you keep releasing ever more buggy releases you should then think "Lets get some people to test before i release an update". -

Classic servers have less to go wrong with them. The more you add to something the more it can go wrong. Though generally you don't get applications which are as buggy as Notch's(Testing is a word people have normally heard of....).

Good lord I am such an idiot. This is the 3rd time i'm doing no minecraft the CF server 'cause my finger slipped. -
