The Android version of Minecraft went on sale over the weekend. Out of curiosity, I bought it.
Rather than posting some kind of half hearted review, I thought I'd just offer up this thread for questions (if anyone actually cares about MCPE), and for anyone else whose pony'd up the cash to jump in with their views.
I will say this; the version number is something like "alpha 0.1.1," so it's far from done.
Edit: Hmm, I meant to post this in the Minecraft forum. If any Mods are reading this, could you move it over, please?

I bought it too, not played it much. I can only see myself using it to throw down some ideas in 3d instead of sketching them on scraps of paper when away. You done much with it yet?
I've tried, but it's painful. I said of proper Minecraft that there's not enough actual game to make it interesting for me. I prefer the creative part only when others are there to see your creation. I prefer the adventure/mob killing part as team p.
Pocket Edition is creative only, has a quarter of the blocks you get in the PC version, and harder to use controls.
It needs a lot of work before I'd consider playing it for fun when I have nothing else to do.
My mate has it on his Samsung smart phone.
I tried it, played it for 5 mins then said cool
It's pretty terrible

I prefer the free bootleg version I've been playing (minedroid), minecraft PO doesn't run well on my X10. Or I think thats because I've underclocked my phone.
