if you change your name your original name is still there so any bans or whitelist removals affect your base name which your still attached to. im guessing deadbolt will work the same.

We've banned minecarts, lava buckets, water buckets all before. Hardly too far if it affects the safety of the game.

I would assume that username and IGN will be tracked separately by the server. So chests will check username not IGN etc.
