Well, you could try editting the default skin.

Start, Run, %appdata%, .minecraft, bin, Rightclick "minecraft" and Open with WinRAR Archiver, Pull the skin out (char.png). Edit and/or overwrite it. Place it back in.. Update the archive and you should be good!
