I haven't done a proper comparison but the Alloy Furnace appears to process the TE "pulverised" dusts significantly faster than IC2 dusts.

I only recently noticed because I was simplifying my ore processing. There was a backlog of dust but pulverised copper cleared faster than the system could supply it.

Another thing I've noticed is that Alloy furnaces should not be set to push and pull on the same face if set to do both smelting and alloys as it means they can pull in ingots and get jammed.
