I may be gone a bit longer XD
WRC 2011 will be arriving on my doorstep next week!
I've also dug out my Amiga A1200 with blizzard 060 from the cupboard as the release of the NatAmi hardware is fast approaching:
68060 on FPGA clocked between 100-150Mhz (about 10x faster than a current A1200/A4000 with 060 expansion)
Super AGA with upgraded blitter
512mb ram (interchangeable modes for fastram configs)
usb2, lan, dvi/vga, optical audio etc etc.
I'm looking to write my own 3d survival game using Voxels in a similar way to the old game Robinson's Requiem.
For those that know Amiga specs, it'll be strictly designed for NatAmi to give it it's own unique title. You wont be able to run it in an emulator because it wont have the new "SuperAGA" mode, and also, the NatAmi will run faster than any current modern PC can emulate it (Amiga custom hardware owns again
). So unless someone ports it (highly likely as i'll release it's source eventually) it'll be a NatAmi title only
of course this means coding in standard AGA (and yes, i'm doing that on my Amiga as i want to do it legit
) then updating it to SuperAGA once the hardware arrives through my door.
I used to code in Blitz Basic but now there's Amiblitz 3 with ALOT more tools that i'll need to dig into
so yeah, it's unlikely i'll be back for an amount of time for a few months more! short visits i'll definitely do though
hmmm i wonder if i could do a minecraft type game on the NatAmi? XD
