Been up to completing the Fifth Tier of my little treehouse, so, only the Sixth Tier walls are missing now. And, the frigging huge canopy I've planned, so as to make it look NOT like something out of the Sonic the Hedgehog games by Sega.

I've been pretty good, thank you for asking. Things finally seem to be slowing down, so I'll (hopefully) be more active on the server!

I just watched a film about an alien called Paul. was hilarious!

and just as i started typing this my cat decided to fart on me while she was sitting on my lap. she's such a sharing caring cat

on the minecraft front i spent all friggin day dying and restarting the latest 1.9 version of Skyblock in Hardcore Mode.

i think i died 30 times before i finally managed to figure out my priorities and kill a skele for bonemeal to make soup. was doing really, REALLY well... and then it snowed and destroyed my whole sugar cane crop making me almost cry like a schoolroom sissy! LOL

[edit1] oh i've also caught the lurgy from my mrs-to-be. she's a sharing caring girl n all. *grumble*

[edit2] oh, oh! and i also popped on the server today and added another half a kilometer to my rail link. i hope to send it north to catch a link to spawn

Currently doing a group task of building a high performance network with redundancy, woohoo.

Sort of logical topology I have so far:

Two switches with 2 aggregated links across the network providing up to double speed, unfortunately the load balancing algorithm is a bit naff based on source/destination MACs being randomly allocated to links and (from what I can see) doesn't support round robin for link sharing.

Also another link on the spanning tree protocol in case of one of those high performance links goes down, a backup link can pop online instead, since a limitation of the linking aggregation protocol I'm using appears to kill off the whole connection if one dies, which is a little weird.

Apart from that, I'm fine! Feeling a little ill again, but just working away because I'm away down south for a 2 day course next week. Woohoo.
