I'm not sure how many people have heard of Larry, or have played Larry (1-7, not counting the more recent ones starring his nephew), but Replay Games are remaking the original in sexy HD!

i love LSL!!! played it on the amiga when i was -ahem- younger than the requirement lol.

so technically, this is a remake of a remake as this one was revamped once already.

it's great news, i played through both the monkey islands again recently with the new graphics etc. thing is though, LSL can be completed in around 3 hours, and i've done it so many times i'm not sure even another graphics revamp will pursuade me to do it again

Oooh, Leisure Suit Larry, one of the most bestest (yes, that's a word now!) games in the world ever!

I a child at the time, my Nan (who owned the 386 DOS computer I played the game on) didn't get the questions right half the time!

The impression I got from this is that they are just remaking the original. I can't find a mention to the 1991 remake. I never played it so I don't know if there were any changes; if the other remake was just the original game with better graphics but otherwise identical, I don't suppose it makes a difference which one they're remaking.

The art style on this one look niiiiiiice though.

Yup, identical game with better graphics. Replay Games said that Larry HD would be LL1 with HD graphics plus new adventures.

Personally, I could see them taking the Sam and Max approach; releasing each adventure for low price points, though it would be great if they put a whole new set of adventures out for, like, a tenner, or something.

...now if someone would do a HD remake of Full Throttle...
