Well yes. Though they only really know that they hacked the forums, so far there is no evidence of compromised accounts or anyones money being stolen from peoples Credit/Debit cards.

However its best to reset your password on anything which is the same as your steam account and/or steam forum account. Also its a good idea to cancel any card you used (If your card details were stored on steam) and request a new one.

A good rule of thumb is to change your password at least once per month. And, not to use the same password everywhere.

pfffft after waiting a month i finally got my live account back and the £100 that was stolen from my debit card.

Steam is a separate service from Crazy-fools.co.uk.

Steam is a application like the Itunes store where people can buy games and play them.

This was posted here as a vast amount of people use Steam and may not have heard of the hack.

In reference it happens all the time. With the original XBOX Live and console there was a mass hacking attack which stole a lot of data. Same with the PS3 and many other online based stores and services.
