Hello !

After being inspired by a geography lesson I had, I decided on creative mode to create a Volcano. It satrted out small but grew to become a massive volcano that I had dreamed of making in a long time. I figure out an esay way to do it and I wish to create to the server, what are your opinions about this!

Looks like something along the lines of pistons in the 4 sides move down allowing lava to flow out. Amirite? The top just looks rather... shaped I guess... Ima swim down it with mah fire res. potion ^^

I was thinking of turning the volcano into a massive community survival game were we will bluid a town around the volcano and players would have to survive the eruption, last man or women standing will win a special prize, tell me your thoughts on that one

Due to the short flowing nature of minecraft lava, I cannot see that working im afraid.

but couldn't there be Piston activatied "fissures"? (since volcanos tend to cause earthquakes as well

In the nether lava flows 8 blocks. But the volcano wouldn't survive there.....

If you create the slopes correctly, you can make lava flow a long way.

looks really good and sounds like a good idea. i suppose abit of trial and error could get it to work

You could also make the buildings on the side of the mountain so the lave just flows around them.
