Laptop would probably be much more expensive if you are looking for a gaming laptop, I'd still go with a desktop for a good 800$ if you build it yourself and you know what you're doing.

laptop are good but the only thing about them si that you can not upgrand + if is for gaming overheating is a fat as will.

if i play MC on my laptop my i5 run at about 85c on my lol

If you want a decent pc to run minecraft and any other game, your looking at about £500 for a decent computer that'll last you a while
