Since several people are finding it necessary to correct even the smallest of grammatical mistakes, I decided to put this topic up:
1. We are an international community.
2. You cannot expect EVERYONE to speak / write / type perfect english. Even if they are from an english-speaking part of the world, not everyone has flawless grammar.
3. Next person I find that mocks / abuses / makes fun of ANYONE that's made a gremmatacal mistake will answer for it.
4. Respect = Key.
(wonder if anyone's stupid enough to try and correct my obvious mistake)
Oh i agree with this fully.
why is it bad if you spell something wrong?

Jack :
Well it does get rather difficult at times when you can't understand what a person is trying to say.
As for myself, I prefer using correct grammar when typing / texting. It just comes easier, and feels more natural to me. (Opposed to purposely spelling words wrong / abbreviating. ) Plus it's a good habit to apply in the real world.
Although, people who can speak English well, but choose not to (Texting etc.) tend to add to the lazy American stereotype that people tend to have toward us.
(Now I don't have anything against someone if they don't use perfect grammar, yet I do appreciate it.)
There's my two cents on the subject.
It's fine if people want to correct someone's grammatical errors, but it should be done in an as polite / respectful way as possible. People were taking it too far, hence why I felt the need to nip it in the bud now instead of letting it get out of control.
We are a community of people, not a pack of wolves who gang up on people for something as stupid as poor grammar (we shouldn't be, at least).
I know i have horrible grammer issues and this will help alot but i still need to work on it.
I post almost ever message from my ipod so im used to texting with ut nd its annoying.
Ut= it
*example of how annoying it is to type on an ipod.

My 2 ps are that fine if your in a rush but halve the time you can't tell what people are saying lol and rofl are ok but not when you type np as saying nope its hard to understand what people say.
I know im trying not to use abbreviations iz kinda almost instinct for me though
seems like a good rule - it's kinda frustrating to watch discussions or ban appeals end up in arguments over spelling \ grammar errors. You have to think that ultimately, you're breaking down the communication of a thread far more by sitting there trying to correct everything people say. And it gives off a bit of a holier than thou vibe. It's a fair point if you can't understand what's being said, but elsewise it should be given serious consideration before you pull the 'grammar nazi' card.
I'm fine with it. Until I can't comprehend what you are saying.
imfnwthit. UntlI cannt undertand wht ure says.
That is the limit we me : )
I am so thankful that adulthood has taught me self-control because I am a reformed grammar-Nazi...
Oh God....so difficult.....FIVE ERRORS!!!! >hic< sorry....
In all seriousness, I agree with this. I remember when I was just 13 posting on forums and got corrected so many times that I found myself too worried about being wrong again and shamed in front of everyone that I just stopped contributing. I wouldn't wish that on anybody, especially when the point of all this is to just HAVE FUN!!
YES LOVE IT! I hate it when i get grammar nazi'd >.>
