Vote for the new map! It might be interesting to create new cities and explore new dungeons. Vote for new map. And make new groups/clans.

Why would the map need to be changed when people can do those things on the current one? No maps will be changed unless there is absolutely no other choice.

i am glad the mods see it this way. you should go around and see the huge things people have invested their times in on this map. there is still plenty of space. if spawn gets too crowded, it can be changed aswell it seems.

Nothing, cause I doubt people will vote for a new map while there is still a shed load of free space on the server, if you want to start a new town, go on the carto and look for a nice big fresh space

We got a few hundred GB of free space of land to use up yet!

No offense, but hell no. We actually had this conversation before. Safe to say that everyone wants to stay on this map. We have plenty of room to keep building etcetera. Ghost towns can be torn down and made into new cities or clans or whatever. The new spawn gave the feeling of a new server as well.

no way should there be a new map. i'm already working on a project to ease the congestion at spawn... so people have a place they can call their own.

i think CFUK would suffer a massive bought of rage quitting if the map is reset again this year.

We only change maps, if there is a corruption problem. Corruption problems often kill maps off. But we have a working backup, so this map should last a very long time.

Spawn just changed Magnus if you want ... we can go to the edge of the map and build our lil. village xD

Just an FYI for those wanting to expand into new territories.... there is a completed line that goes all the way from spawn to nearly the western map border, built by Sgt_Blinky mostly, with myself helping on some parts of it. Also, Kahr has a fully linked line heading north (not sure how far). There is plenty of free open space along both of these lines, and that hasn't even scratched on the east and south parts of the map. If you want to start fresh, plenty of opportunities exist, with fairly easy access to travel around the map from the west/spawn/north sections.

I know there is much free space, I also agreed wiht 404 that many pepeole have spend lots of gameplay on recurses.

I am currently planning on building a special town if I cant find an ideal spot for it then I can just go to the edge of the map and have it generate more for me to use perhaps you should do the same for whatever you want to do

The map has a border around it, so it is not infinite, but its so massive that some parts have probably not been generated yet. You are free to wander around any where you like inside this border.

But, if you are using the cartograph as a guide to figure out what map parts have been generated already, its only a rough guide, as the carto constantly refreshes and checks for activity in chunks, but doesn't always show them. i've seen large parts of the carto go dark, while I was standing in a cave in the area. Nothing I did made the area show back up again on the live map.. but a few days later it did show up again briefly. Its a hit-or-miss thing.

Ah you people ask because you think there is not enough space. I remember when carts didn't work on servers. We walked everywhere. We still managed to expand and it could take half an hour to walk from the spawn to the newly developed land. This was when there were only 100 people registered.

Now with carts you can get to places so quickly, it is far easier to expand.

Maybe you should try walking sometime. Its how we used to do it.
