Yes so sony in a blog post said that account details HAVE BEEN TAKEN!!! Banana hackers if you are a psn user and have a billing addres with psn ask your bank for a credit statement to see if any money as been taken from your bank account and watch out for scam emails since the hackers have your email they also have your addres so watch out for any bullshit letters
Just thought I would post this to let people now who have a ps3 and also when psn comes back on change your password sony will probley make you do it anyway but if they dont the hackers will still be able to get in guys stay safe.
and all this stemmed from removing the OtherOS ability which alot of users bought into.
I must admit, I nearly purchased a PS3 for the Linux ability as equally as gaming. Needless to say after all this, i'm pleased i held onto my money.
The other os was bad it had very limted space and features they claimed it to be a supercomputer ablity it was even worse than one of them rubish little notebooks
I think most PS3 owners have been very aware of the downtime of PSN (and the problems - otherwise I pity them!). I don't believe I had any credit card information on PSN at the time (I hope not), but I don't have much money on that account either, so it doesn't matter. I'll be getting a new credit card anyways.
The only issue I have with this is how long it took Sony to admit that sensitive data had been stolen. They should have come out and told that right away. Truth above all else, I say. They have a lot of angry customers by now.
Yeah lucky for me the only card I ever used on PSN was my old bank card which expired 2 months ago, but all my other sensitive information is on there like my real name, address, postcode etc.
I honestly don't think i'll be able to trust Sony after this major mishap, I was thinking off getting rid of my PS3 anyways as I never use it anymore

I'm very annoyed about psn being down because i have ordered portal 2 (can't play coop) and just got just cause 2 (i know, i'm late) for reasons with a long story connected behind it my action button is o instead of x so JC2 glitches up and i need to press x and o at the same time, also that means whenever i need to type in a button code i need to cycle through them till i get on which doesn't have x and o and i am sure the 1.02 update for JC2 will fix that. which i can't get because psn is down.
Dude portal 2 for ps3 gives you a free pc version.
Games are still updating spikedmo, one of my mates said he stuck New Vegas in and he managed to download an update
