Well, if there is a bomb in Europe, I would say the UK would be the most likely place due the the size of our involvement in the war. Chances are, they knew where he was, but waited till they were sure any retaliation could be dealt with or any other measures disabled.

But by being vigilant? Probably a warning to the public as many within the Taliban would feel the need to avenge his death.

Any chance this happened after the Royal Wedding? I mean, literally they waited for the national event for the past few years before they took him out.

Osama wasn't the entire Al Qaeda. So there is no point in jumping up in joy because one man is dead. They still have leadership from the group who were under him. They will just put another guy in charge and carry on.

Its like when the leader of a country is assassinated. The country still goes on as its only one dead guy not the entire country.

If they attack or not because of his death it doesn't matter. They would have attacked in any case. There terrorists after all. There will always be attacks as long as there are still enough of them to carry it out(And finance).

Bin Laden is dead but it's not going to change anything... A new leader will emerge. There will probably be a spate of retaliation bombs now. However I reckon most plots will be aimed at USA. Them being the ones that killed him and all.

i'd say UK personally. if the nukes are in Europe, I would say UK has the most accountability for his death out of all EU states.

I am glad that he is dead, and I don't think the area where I live in the U.S. is in much danger. I just hope the rest of the U.S. and any other countries that would be a target will be safe and prepared in case of attack.

Well, homeland security does have the pictures, but they're all password encrypted and whatnot, so they aren't allowed to distribute them to the public.

Well, you can't assume all Muslims loved bin Laden and hate America... for some its the opposite. However, for those on the fence, displaying a trophy like that would definitely shove them into the "hate America" camp.

Personally, I think bin Ladens death is already confirmed even without a photo; he's obviously dead (or captured) since the greatest single embarrassment bin Laden could pull off at this time would be a video of him holding a news paper with a headline of his death, and him mocking it. If bin Laden were alive or free at this moment, there WOULD be a video or some other statement from his terrorist network refuting the story.

I don't believe 100% of the official story is true, though. The government never tells you everything. bin Laden could simply have been tired of running and gave up to the US forces, and the government created a cover story in exchange for his cooperation in exposing his terror network. Or, the government could have heard that bin Ladens died from natural causes, stormed the compound and took the body to make themselves look like the heroes.

I give the governments story a 90% chance of being what really happened. I think we might never know the what really happened, but either way, bin Laden is no longer an active participant in his network.
