SCU Membership
Membership is explained as follows:
Please note all eligible players start as Contractors and work towards promotion from there. True membership starts when you are promoted to Architect. Also note, SCU Membership will also reward you in SCU Donor Points. I have not yet set up a system for how this is awarded though. If you have suggestions on this, please PM me.

-==Contractors==-
Pay- To be determined
Benefits- Stone tools, leather armour (if available), promotion pending completion and quality of work.
Duties- Think of this position as a "temporary worker" position. Contractors are not required nor expected to work on SCU with any consistency, and may work at SCU entirely at their own convenience. Contractors who choose to work for the project frequently will be eligible for promotion to Architect. Please make sure to contact a SCU Manager to ensure recognition for work done as a Contractor.

-==Architects==-
Pay- To be determined
Benefits- Iron tools and armour, Free food, Pay raises pending completion and quality of work, free housing plots on all SCU builds.
Duties- Architects are the true workers of SCU. They build, design, and in many ways get things done. All that is required to be an Architect is the dedication to work consistently and the ability to follow instructions, but you are encouraged to offer constructive criticism and ideas for SCU as well. Architects are permitted to have non-SCU obligations, but need to make a regular appearance and be able to show the work they have completed for SCU. An Architect vault will be available at all builds.

--=Managers==-
Pay- See Benefits and Duties
Benefits- Access to the SCU Storage Vault (must have /warp capabilities)
Duties- SCU Managers are fully dedicated to seeing to the proper completion of the project and will responsibly delegate and/or manage Architects and Contractors to that end. As a Manager, you should not have non-SCU obligations outside of personal business and the occasional offering of help to other members of the CFUK community. There is a small degree of leniency in this, so long as your primary obligation at any given time is SCU; after all, everyone needs a break sometimes. The Managers are expected to communicate with each other and make sure that everyone is working as they should. For non-community decisions that don't warrant a poll here in the forums, the Managers are expected to vote as a committee, majority vote rules. Usually, Managers are responsible for certain aspects of a SCU build, but can also manage their own SCU-certified projects.

-==Donators==-
What? Donators are the valued Crazy Fools nice enough to give to SCU, but don't have the time or desire to help us build. SCU needs donators in order to keep our members paid and our projects growing, and we will accept almost all kinds of donations. However, not all Donators are equal. Some people are liable to only donate a stack of stone and some wood, while others give so much to the project as to be respected members deserving of some reward from the project. For this reason, the rank of Donator has subranks ranging from low to high on a point system.

-==Inactive==-
What? Paying our valued members can be expensive. Especially when they become inactive. Inactive members are still valued by the SCU, but because it isn't fair to pay them for time they haven't worked, they are "demoted" to be an Inactive Member. Inactive members that return to the server may rejoin the SCU as Architects, so long as they are still active in the SCU.


Notes:
Leave of Absence: Sometimes, you need a break from Minecraft- or just from SCU- in either case, you can take a Leave of Absence and let us know how long you'll be gone. Everything you had before will still be yours when you return.
Pay: Architects are paid daily, whether they are online or not. Time on which pay is calculated is based on GMT time zone. Tools and armour are available whenever you need them according to your rank.

I will be a redstone engineer and in the times when none is required, a general builder person.

I'm afraid I cant accept that position Tuatha, its the earliest task and I cant gurantee I'll be able to commit myself at all in the next few weeks due to Uni assignments.. put me down for the fortress/other buildings builders and resource gathering etc

No worries, was a hopeful nomination for me. I'll begin clearing out the ice sea today and start managing that part of the project. Since that's where it all starts.

I would like to be in charge of the walls and roads, I don't know what you'd consider that though. (Probably architect)

Assuming you want to be in charge of it, that would be Fortress Build Architect (and/or manager). I'll pen you in. I'll have a foundation up and running for you in no time.

Meanwhile, you will be wanting to assemble a team of underlings dedicated to building the fortress with you and gather materials. Unless, of course, the fortress is going to be small enough to do alone. That part's up to you (and the CF Project community at large if they disagree).

I'd be interested in helping cmg with some architectural stuff. I'm willing for whatever though.

The Project has officially started! I'm currently in the process of melting the ice and emptying out the ocean. I will be needing all the dirt, sand, gravel, stone, and whatnot that you can provide.

I'll post the name of the warp here soon, along with a vault for building materials so that builders can grab what they need and gatherers can put them in there when they can.

k as soon as you post the warp I'll find a nearby out of site mountain and start digging I'll then refine all the stone I get from it and bring it to the island site I'll also cover the site with a thin layer of dirt when I'm done.

K, I set up a warp point. Warp point is named 'cfproject', without quotations of course.

This sounds great, ill be a materials gatherer if you need me to be.
