This post is about the having to have 25 points to enter waterworld, which is what you start with.
I think it should be higher because I have been been greifed three times recently on my home in waterworld and It's really annoying, if the limit was something like 30 people will have to play for 25 hours which will deter a lot of greifers probably -That is all

If people want to grief they will grief so whether its in water world or the normal world it doesn't particularly matter to me ; however i understand your annoyance.

Also i think Broonie made water world 25 points originally so that all the redditers and people from bukkit forums could see it straight away.

I'm pretty sure that 4 different people have griefed it

This is a very valid point.

Furthermore, by raising the point limit we would block a lot more good players than bad ones. We have plugins for tracking and banning and reverting griefers so that we don't have to take actions like this that would get in the way of the fun of many of our very valuable members.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I guess with it bring available upon Joining it can act as an incentive to join Cfuk

I would say raise the points requirement to 27 minimum ... or perhaps just 26 ... Most griefers just log in and go off griefing right away, so they are less likely to hang around for an hour or two.

Droid is currently down on 22 points, a raise of the points requirement would delay us even furtheron the King Neptune.

Er would be thankful if the minimum wouldn't be raised:-)

If people hadn't been "naughty" since they joined, then they would only have to have a few hours under their belt to be in waterworld.

Remember, the whole point of this discussion is to prevent people signing-up, linking their account, and then going straight to other worlds to grief.

If someone has broken the rules and dropped their points below other world's point's requirements - big build or not - it's their own fault for effectively "banning" themselves from other worlds.

In truth though, were I someone who joined cfuk because of water world I'd be kinda put off having to wait ten hours in game

Well raise the points requirement to 26 - then it's only 5 hours wait (I forgot it was 1 point per 5 hours ... not 1 point per hour!).

Besides - If you were new to the server, you'd have no kit or items in your INV. Soooo how do you expect to be able to do anything in Waterworld without stealing / griefing???

Therefore spend a few hours in the normal world building yourself a hut and gathering materials for Waterworld, and then go over once your points are up and you've got kit to do stuff with

People grief, There will always be one structure that seems to attract griefers, often being the first thing they come across. Alas, your boat has become it.

My opinion is to leave it as be.

Water world seems to be doing fine without any changes, its amazing some of the builds we got going on already.

We are always expecting griefing and our staff are more than ready to spring into action should it call for it.

I might remind you that its not a case of good and bad players, although it might seem like it, the water world is not a gift to us memebers, it is Broonie enjoying the perks of owning a fantasticly popular server and having the skill and knowledge to code something as such.
Why not let any body enjoy it as much as we have?

Plus memebers will more than likely have theyre chance to single out the mass's via their points by the new upcoming world.. watch this space?

The current level requirement for WaterWorld does allow newbies access straight of the bat, which allows them the choice of vanilla minecraft (which theyve seen before) or something they are very unlikely to have seen (Water World)
