Is MC.net down for anyone else? I can't login, wondering if it's just me or actually MC.net

It is down worldwide. They are updating the site. Wish they could be faster because its interfering with my adventure map making

I think it's down, cannot get the web page (https://minecraft.net/) either, just tried pinging it and got 'request timed out'

It's not that they're updating. It's that Amazon AWS has gone down again. It took reddit with it for a while too I believe.

Tickrate is low and I'm the only one on and have all my machines off (even went to spawn). Once again around the same time it seems to drop every night (around 6pm to 10pm EST). Both Heyimdyer and Wferr did manage to log on at some point though, but I doubt they're the cause.

So yeah, something other than machines definitely causing some lag every night.

Sounds like you have a throttle on your connection. Tickrate has not set pattern of going up or down.

If your the only one on, then it would of been something in your active chunk radius, or at spawn.

I have actually noticed the same thing. not sure about the time exactly but it's in the evening and I'm on Sky fiber 40Mb. But i just put it down to bad British cowboy wiring most of the time.

More than likely just everyones machines getting more advanced, it requires further processing power from the server.

Whilst there is absolute 0 connection lag, tickrate degradation will occur to the quantity and sheer size of the machines.

We can't guarantee 100% tickrate as it would be impossible. All I can say is if you want high tickrate, go vanilla.

Agreed, the only thing that i've found to annoy is my "warp core" suddenly stopped working at 6 blocks away. it was a pulse of blue lumar lights. Not sure what's happened there, but it was after the restart.
