There would be more videos, but being on an ADSL connection (512kbps upstream) hinders most of it.

How large a video are you uploading? You can use something like FFMPEG to reduce the bitrate of the video so that its at an acceptable rate but without being such a large file. Iv used it for my Game-Requirements channel so that the trailers i upload arn't so large (It helps alot with 800MB+ videos to get them down to 100-200MB. I aim for 480p)

Also reducing the resolution can help(as you can then reduce the bitrate further). For the type of videos you would be uploading you don't need HD.

For 480p FLV video a bitrate of 3000-4000kb/s (I convert all the trailers to FLV before uploading to youtube) is generaly acceptable.
