Did warping get disabled in the nether?
It was always meant to be disabled, it just hadn't worked for a long long time.
It was to preserve the FFA nature of the Nether.
Time to build a gate far far away... and hope it gets me where I want to be =(
Cross-world warping too? I was able to warp in from the over-world, then found I couldn't warp out.
OK, that makes sense, at least. I didn't think of that angle, because we at Umbrella Corporation don't condone unnecessary violence.
Was just rather disturbing to find that while I could arrive there, I couldn't get back out without portal access. Guess it's time to start carrying a flint and steel with me again...
cant do that either. netherside gates melt.
I recommend boycotting the nether =)
No reason to boycott. As long as everyone knows the rules, Umbrella Corp sees no problem with exploiting, err... responsibly and respectfully mining in the Nether.
This is vanilla, not tekkit, right?
Though I guess the rule is the same anyway.
Before donating I found it frustrating that certain game content depended on nether items. Still does but most are kittable I think. In tekkit mass fabs help a little but of course you need quite a bit of glowstone to get there, and as far as I know there's no uu recipie for soulsand yet.
I wonder if it might be feasible to periodicly reset a part of the nether to ensure a supply of reachable glowstone, soulsand etc.
