The vanilla server has sky and water worlds. Could we get something similar on the tekkit server?
We're starting a "Rapture" project. For anyone who has not played BioShock, it is an underwater city. However it is taking a verrry long time to excavate the area.

Due to the difference between Minecraft versions, the Tekkit server is not supported for custom multiworlds.
WaterWorld is currently also an exclusive for the vanilla server.
Any chance of a moderator doing a voxel/worldedit to clear some working space?
Are you sure you can't clear the area you want just with machines?
I've still got to find my old home in water world - was building a big glass dome over an underwater sand mound.
I can and have been clearing the area but it will take more than a month just to prepare the area.
1: make a huuuuuuge hole
2: build your project
3: use redpower pump to slowly fill the hole with water
I'd kind of like to take a look, maybe you just need to throw numbers at this.
My thoughts too, but possibly add something to catch the stuff the filler drops if its used for area clearing. Then again you can just wait for the entities to vanish but its not kind to the server or your framerate.
Also, under the heading of "Tekkit Server Request" I know myself and at least one other user have had to bonsai our builds but it'd be great if we could increase the world height to 257 is it ? rather than 125(ish)?
However, sadly from what I've heard this would be pretty problematic without regenerating world . . . Any thoughts ?
yep your right with world regen it would be tricky to do that, It would require a lot of work as well as its change world gen which is tricky as broonie has said for making neather areas in vinilla world, also there is a proper tekkit suggestion in the other sub forum
