Just wanted to report a tekkit server crash around 01:05 am UK time (GMT or "UTC" for everyone else outside the UK now).
I had several machines running at the time with no lag experienced. I started to run a new machine I made (converting tin to iron), and after a few seconds the server crashed. I was not experienceing any lag at all up until the server crashed (it was sudden!).
The Vanilla server seems to be running fine at this time.
Vanilla seems down, too. i was online early this morning and got a lot of block lag. Maybe a memory leak issue; same like last week or so

I've used tin to iron the since the first week of tekkit it has never caused any issues for me. Probably was something else.
agreed although Tekkit has had some client memory leaks as well as serverside i've found that on my own testing grounds. thankfully broonie is a better server admin than i am and can fix most of them.
Something strange's happening here. The forum seems perfectly ok as does the download page and the livemaps. But i can't reach the servernews page or the calender. Those just try to connect forever.
Can't reach vanilla server either. LM just replays the same 3 seconds over and over again. Tekkit seems to be fine but can't really test it since my client doen't want to work anymore.
Just as i wrote this it changed: Have a hard time to connect to the forum too. It takes 1-5mins for my brower to get a connection. This is true for all pages atm. Once it has a connection the page itselfs loads fine within milliseconds. If this is nothing internal maybe a ddos problem like syn flooding or such?
