We all remember the early days of tekkit. High lag, crashes, bugs, missing chunks etc. But i will admit that for the most part the FTB server is holding up quite well even with some of the more laggy items being left open to use. The only things i've noticed to cause lag so far are high amounts of wisps and the creation of other worl linking books. But that's only for a second.

There was one instance however. a few days ago when it was just myself, squippit ans Techmav on. There was a high amount of lag to the point of chests opening about 4 minutes after i warped away from the area where the chests were. Rather disconcerting considering i was trying to open my diamond chest and suddenly found it to be a lot smaller and filled with junk

To sum things up however. Good work Broo, the server seems very stable even with all the new added mobs and biomes.

From my personal experience (and I have lag all the time, probably due to my distance from where the server is held [Somewhere in Europe I'd assume...]), only times I get lag much worse is upon /homeing, /spawning, and using some form of portal or Description/Linking Book. From what I could find online, chunks are only loaded in Dimension/Worlds/Ages when people are there... meaning unused Mystcraft worlds shouldnt hurt too much other than the space the world takes up in the worlds folder. The only way it would cause the server to implode on itself would be if everyone was causing chunks from different worlds to load at the same time...

As for the wisps... Eh? O-o

I do agree with your statement Squip, Just watched tech take about 50 seconds swirling in a nether portal to get back. unfortunately a ghast had enough time to appear and knock him out of it. My earlier post did forget to take portals into account. I haven't had much of a problem warping home or spawning and i've been playing over here in the US with Tech. Then again he's got Business class net.

FTB uses a much larger amount of bandwidth in comparison to Tekkit or Vanilla, therefore your connection quality will totally depend on your upload/download rate.

Hopefully, this is good enough to keep up then...

I think I might have to give it a miss now I've relocated to my parents house ... best result I've had so far is 5.21 Down, 0.37 Up, Ping 47 ... I miss my old cable internet connection :'(
