Now that it is summer and I'm back from my holiday I can now start play more on the server with some big planned projects on Vanilla.
I was wondering whether I should start them now but thought that if a new map were to come while I was building or just after... it would be kinda annoying. So would it be best to wait for a new map or start now? It really all depends on how long the current vanilla map has got before it's predecessor comes.

I hope we keep this map for a while because we have not had it for so long.

I believe the current vanilla map will be around for a little while now ... but I would prefer Broonie to confirm this before you take my word on it.

I think it would be a bit silly to reset any time soon, as there is supposed to be new terrain gen features in 1.7. I would imagine you would be safe enough for a while yet

Current Map is guaranteed until at least November, before becoming the "old map" until at least May 2014.
