The FTB Monster Beta server has been running "ok" for a short time now, however we are now behind the recommended version, I think we all knew that'd happen since the mod pack is still in development.

With that in mind, and it being a beta server, I'd like to see it updated to the current recommended version as there are a lot of fixes and changes see here for the complete list.

Could be a good idea concidering a lot of the "simple" bugs we're seeing, like crashing while looking at certain items or opening inventories etc.

I agree, we are already 3 versions behind. A lot has changed in the mods it seams. Hopefully we can get rid of some bugs with updating.

Well at least the beta gave us time to see what could be done with Monster. It can work for us if they clear out some bugs.

Some of us can't even play atm, probably cause some of the mentioned bugs..

Made good assignment progress today so logged on here to check what's happening and FANTASTIC ! ! Was really hoping we'd go to monster or similar before the summer.
When not at uni I coooouuulllld go outside . . . or I could play this ;D

Getting an error that "the following microblocks are not installed", clearly I've not found the right pack version yet, lol

Edit: For future people the version atm (19/03/2014) is: 1.0.9.
When you select monster in the ftb launcher, before clicking "Launch", underneath the "Maps" tab and between the "Download server and "Private packs" buttons is a combo box.
The combobox will likely say "Recommended". Click it and select 1.0.9 (or later if you are viewing this post much after 19/03/2014)
After 1.0.9 is selected just click Launch as normal.

The server is currently running 1.0.9 and is a little out of date, not to put words in other peoples mouths, but I'm sure the server will be updated as soon as possible, as you can see from the link in my 1st post, the change log is HUGE, also I'm unable to logon to test atm due to a glitch in our base

Yeah, plenty of world gen changes in the update so a map reset is more than likely required, but thats beta testing

any news on an update?

been using v.1.1 for a couple of days now, and the only problem i've found is not being able to convert a IC2 drill to a diamond drill.

downgrading via the FTB Launcher isn't working for me so can't log in to the server and say a returning "Hi" to all you crazy fools
