The recipe is fine, one regular drill and three diamonds, but if you set it out on a table it doesn't craft. I've tried a regular table, tinkers crafting bench and the pocket crafter.

As a wild guess I'd say the charge state/damage value is missing in the recipe, so when you craft the drill it gets a "damage" value and won't match.

I've seen that bug before on forums, it's just one of many problems IC2 has now since Greg messed it up..
It's the main reason most of us completely abandoned that mod or used it just in necessity for certain things..

True, it looks as if the "miner" mining speed has been messed up again too so they've ruined my favourite auto-mine. Its a shame because I still feel a certain nostalgia for IC2. Gregtech used to be fun back on the old Mindcrack pack, before "Ultimate".

I think the Resonant Rise pack may have actually dropped IC2 altogether now.

I love the Mekanism mod and Digital Miner in it.. u can set it to mine specific ores, use silk touch and lots more.. u can even program it if u know how to code and it just looks awesome..
also wind turbines, solar panels etc that this mod adds are really cool too, u should check them out
