Possible server crash bug tested in singleplayer creative. I'm fairly sure it causes a server shutdown AND client crash EDIT: So please don't try it out on the server, you could get caught in a "crash loop"
Tinkers construct known bug: If you have a redstone comparator monitoring the smeltery and you break the controller it can cause a crash if the comparator receives a block update while the controller is missing. If there is no update it sits there with no problem until something forces a "tick". As far as I can tell simply pointing the comparator at a drain isn't enough, it has to have been part of a valid smeltery at some time.
IT GETS WORSE!! Apparently my home chunks had to be restored to a backup due to corruption. The only unusual thing I had done in that time was the comparator thing.
An associated bug is that the redstone comparator will not change state unless it receives a block update. The smeltery does not generate block updates as its level changes.
Apparently IC2 energy storage devices can be monitored with a redstone comparator, but again they do not generate block updates so the comparator doesn't update. No crashing bugs though, just lazy updating. A redstone clock usually fixes it.
TE energy cells can be monitored for charge that way, and appear to keep the comparator updated.
Oh and an annoying AE autocrafting "Feature", the presence of charged energy crystals in your AE inventory may interfere with crafting Lapotron crystals. I don't know if it also affects nanosuit recipes etc. What seems to happen is it accepts the charged crystal as input, crafts all the other components, but blocks at the final stage, presumably because the output if you use a charged crystal is a partially charged lapotron with a different damage value.
Sleeping at high altitude: using a sleeping bag at a location above 128 altitude caused me to die with "fell out of the world".
Redwood trees: Something about redwood tree blocks seems to cause me a massive slowdown. Alternatively it might be blocks above a height of 128? If your graphics adapter is more up to date than mine you'll be fine, but on my laptop the tree crown causes my update rate to go below 1 fps. Optifine helped to the point I could actually get to the leaves but it was still rough.
Another thing to watch out for: THERE MIGHT BE TOO MANY SQUID!!!
Seriously the numbers around my island seem excessive. If its just me then no problem but if it is like that everywhere we might need a "cleaner" script.
squid despawn when no one is around unlike land animals, which is probably why they spawn in such large numbers.
dropz0ne is lewboy, he has to link account everytime he logs on because of the name change.
OK thanks for that I thought it was some weird crosslink. Meantime Electric trains do look interesting. The power thing is a little strange, but it just means being a bit careful around electric tracks as they stay "live" when they shouldn't be and the damage penetrates quantum armor.
OK so for what it is worth the Steve's cart chunk loader appears suspect. It looks as if it may prevent chunks being updated, meaning changes to chunks get forgotten. It also may possibly happen even when toggled off?
This might be a conflict between the SC chunkloader and a World Anchor but the results were: The cart got duplicated. Some crafted parts vanished from ME storage.
