Hey guys! I was just watching videos on YouTube of all the uses of the piston mod that people have been experiementing with, and found the following clip of a pinball machine!
What I realised was, this concept could inspire a Skyrail alternative whereby instead of going along a track, people merely load thier piston and BOOM! Off they fly, bounding from piston to piston to get to thier destination. Of course, water would be used to cushion the landings, and people can just add thier own to add tot he network!
Therer would be no unsightly rails nor the ground they run on, as the transport system requires only a couple of blocks to propel you through the air in a calculated trajectory to the next piston. Of course, this is assuming Notch decides to put this into the vanilla game. if it stays as a mod, it won't be coming to our server as it involves client-side mods, and this server is (understandably) against messing with people's Minecraft.exe's
What do you guys think, assuming this becomes a legit update? Visions of Futurama style transport tubes comes to mind lol!
