Guide 001: Installing!

Step 1) Get the AT-Luancher here >>> https://www.atlauncher.com/downloads and install the version for your OS.

Step 2) Click Packs on the right, then scroll down to Resonant Rise (should be 2nd on the list so not very/if any scrolling to do).

Step 3) Click "New Instance" then in the version drop down list select "3.2.7.2-RC" and click install.

Step 4) At the bottom of the install dialog there is a button that reads "Use Share Code" press that then and copy/paste this code "miZbBXCq" (without the quotes) into the box and press "Ok".

Step 5) You'll now have all the mods selected to play on the server and are nearly ready to install, but now you have a choice. You might want to disable "Opis" as this adds a 2nd mini-map that most people wont need/want (you might need to uncheck "Mobius Core" then re-check it to be able to disable "Opis", but make sure Mobius is still enabled!

Step 6) Now press "Install" and sit back relax, drink your well earned cup of tea with preferred biscuit and enjoy the short wait before you get to play this new wonderful modpack we've chosen for you!

Step 7) Now that its installed, press the "Instances" button on the right and you will now see a copy of Resonant Rise, There should be a Play button next to it, press that, (DO NOT UPDATE, infact press "Don't ask again" button") the game will launch and within just a few short mins you'll be playing in no time

Step 8) wait for piggles to write the next guide on how to start your new adventure!

its not fully setup yet, Broonie is doing some tweaks to the plugins at a guess.

I think that every time there is a tweak or update, the pack code becomes invalidated. As of today the code is not valid.

the code is valid if u select the right version as mentioned in the guide.

Oh well looks like I'm out. Error log shows a few null pointers then something about failing to allocate a buffer and it all goes wrong from then on.

maybe an error log would help us....

I'm also aware that this computer might just not be up to the job. The graphics drivers are too old, though for what its worth I haven't tried Java 1.7 which was one suggestion I read when DW20 wouldn't run.

Still if you can spot something that fixes it that would be great.

It's Java 7 , dw20 also asked me to use that, but since we moved I updated to Java 8. It's more stable and you will have a smoother experience.. I strongly suggest you update to the newest Java version

altho from looking at the log you posted, it seems like you already have Java 8 installed..
also found this - "A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment"
maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling Java completely, then just install the newest one..

FWIW what's a good source for information on the Ancient Warfare mod?

i think squaffle posted link to a PDF document somewhere that had a lot of very in depth detail, altough i think it was a little bit out of date, but once u make the ingame recipe book its pretty easy from there.
