Random crash at 04:53 GMT (unleashed ofc). Restart worked so all is up again.
I had a soulshard mob spawner actively running and warped away and back there. Maybe that caused the crash with chunk loading the spawner. Just a wild guess since i often get lag trouble with that spawner

Started to lay out some quarter circles for the road. More as a visual help so feel free to change it/rip it as you see fit.
For me it looks fine that way i.e. keep the spacing as it is now

I really like the circular layout idea. But for circular roads we should leave much more space between them to be able to fit any buildings inside. For let's say 10x10 buildings we would need at least 20 space between the roads. Didn't do the maths but with circular it's a lot.
Another option would be to make several small platforms for the buildings but i think the circular road looks better.

Great idea! I'd be happy to help out with donations but as of now i think 1.7 will run on a new fresh server. And no words from broonie if there will be any chest/item transfer.
So my suggestion is to wait until the 1.7 server is live with CF-UK

Are you sure your player file already was deleted? Maybe broonie didn't have the time to do it, yet.

On saturday server restart did work. On sunday it did not, monday and today it did work.
Monday and today several guys, including me, befored a complete base shutdown. i.e. shutdown all power supply and machinery. Since player chunks are not loaded on restart this probably doesn't matter but could it maybe be the enderthermic pumps, all of them chunk loading at the same time?
So some guys switching off their pumps and easing the load?

Are the afk checks really needed that often?
The ones i did or witnessed so far only found players short time afk (i.e. toilet break) or just not reading chat or crafting stuff.
During afternoon/evening hours we simply have more players wanting to play than the slot limit allows. Checking does not help with that.
My vote would be afk checks only once an hour to not distract players from actual playing too much.

Just to avoid misunderstandings: you won't be warned/kicked/banned just because of one missed afk check. Phone call/toilet break/coffee/smoking/crafting is perfectly ok, of course.
As for the afk checks: i think a minimum time between them would be good, like, once an hour.
At the moment only the slot limit hurts; the people that manage to get on most likely make use of their playtime and don't afk at all. But not much we can do about the slot/resource limits.
*sigh* i'd love to play right now...

Wait was the server up in between? I checked every hour or so and am quite sure it just is still down after the failed restart this morning.
No matter how buggy a mod is, items in unloaded chunks generally do not cause trouble. The server just does not come up properly after restart or maybe hangs on shutdown (although that would be easy to fix)
So either a mod/world initialization problem or resource problem (cpu/mem/disk) or maybe corrupted map or something like that.
