Re: Fusion in FTB... (Off Topic Discussion) Posted on 30 Jul : 15:11
I lost track of how much redstone we processed to make chrome, but yeah, something like 114 advanced machine casings, and a total of 33 fusion coils (32 for the ring, and 1 for the control computer).

We wound up repurposing the deuterium line to spin redstone out for the ruby dust at one point.

Yes, Draze is a valued assistant.

I handle the high level stuff... low-level crud is what I have minions for... err, I mean, valued assistants.

Since I couldn't figure out how to put in-line comments between the pics...

First shot is the display screens, obviously.
Second, is the fuel plant. Right side is the Deuterium plant, which runs water through electrolyzers to make hydrogen cells, then runs those through centrifuges to make deuterium. You can't see it in the shot, bit on the right is two separate ME systems, one for each line.
Left side in the distance, is the Helium-3 line. Cobble to redstone to endstone to endstone dust, through centrifuges to make helium-3.

Last shot, is from inside the reactor room itself. Yes, the pink blocks are advanced machine casings, yes, that takes a lot of chrome, and yes, the damned thing glitches on every server restart to think it's an incomplete machine.

Umbrella Corp would like to apologize for the recent brownouts that anyone may have suffered. Umbrella has been doing research into fusion power and has had a few unexplained incidents and power excursions. We have been researching this issue and feel that we may have isolated the problems and are working to resolve them quickly and expediently.

Well, it looks like there's a new release of the FTB launcher... that doesn't work with the current server.

How do you fix this if you accidentally clicked "Upgrade"??

On the screen, near the top right, you'll see a drop-down that says "Recommended" (Below the Maps button). Click that and change it to 1.0.1. It will download the mod packs that got overwritten and reinstall them.

This has been a public service announcement from Umbrella Corporation. You should, because you can.
