Re: Logged on elsewhere? (Server Discussion) Posted on 21 Apr : 19:10
Give Broonie a few more, he's restarting the server. Said the cause was buggy mods.

Looks like FTB has crashed. The problem is, the minecraft system that authenticates you (not the CFUK servers) thinks you're still logged in. Since they think you're logged in, it won't let you connect anywhere else. Not much you can do until the FTB server gets rebooted and reports back to the Minecraft server that you're not logged in.

*** For Immediate Release***

Umbrella Corporation would like to alert all residents that there is an anomalous time loop happening that can not be traced to anything on Umbrella Property. The loop seems to be about three seconds long and has been repeating for the last several hours.

All Umbrella Research Projects are suspended at this time, pending a successful resolution to this issue. As always, Umbrella is committed to helping the community and will cooperate fully with all law enforcement personnel.

***For Immediate Release***
The theft of Umbrella Corporation property has been dealt with. The offending party has been assigned as D-Class personnel as punishment for the theft.

The lockdown of Umbrella Headquarters has been lifted, but be advised, heightened security measures are still in place. Anyone found unescorted on the premises will be dealt with, harshly.

Effective immediately, access to Umbrella Headquarters is restricted to employees of Umbrella Corporation ONLY. Anyone found within the Umbrella Headquarters facility without an escort will be subject to immediate termination without question.

CF:UK law enforcement personnel will be permitted on the premises without escort, although it would be appreciated if they would notify Umbrella management of their arrival.

No reason to boycott. As long as everyone knows the rules, Umbrella Corp sees no problem with exploiting, err... responsibly and respectfully mining in the Nether.
Re: Mechanical Keyboards (Off Topic Discussion) Posted on 10 Dec : 13:59
IBM Model M keyboard, hands down. Yeah, they're not cheap, but I've had mine for 14 years now and it still works just fine (and the keys still are clearly labelled, not worn off).

Plus, I'm a hard typer, this is the only one I've found that can survive me. I've carried it from job to job with me.

OK, that makes sense, at least. I didn't think of that angle, because we at Umbrella Corporation don't condone unnecessary violence.

Was just rather disturbing to find that while I could arrive there, I couldn't get back out without portal access. Guess it's time to start carrying a flint and steel with me again...
