Thanks for the input everyone. I have finished the outer circle that is needed, so everyone can just come and dig it all out.

So, I started digging out this massive area for a town, and I soon realised that I need a LOT of help with it!

The town is being dug out underground, but it will eventually be open to the skies, once the digging has finished.

The undertaking of the project is massive, but everyone who joins will get a plot in which to build.

Here is the scale of it; It is a 129-block wide circle being dug to bedrock, or as far as we can make it. It will probably take a very long time, so bring your friends along to help. (If you tell me that they helped, they get a free plot too!).

I will post screenshots when I get the main circle to cut down finished.

If you want to help with the project, either post here, or contact me in-game.

One diamond pickaxe per person will be provided once you have dug up a single chest full of cobble, as long as I still have diamonds. You are free to keep any ores/cobble you dig from the project, but if you want to you can donate iron etc to the project to make pickaxes.

I will post the coords once I either have enough interest, or I build the storage / living area.

If you want to help out, answer yes on the poll.

Rules: Don't dig down another layer if there are blocks on the layer you are on. Remove them first!

No killing the farm animals. I like them.

Stick to the outline, no side tunnels.

You should see a stone brick building and / or a beacon made out of cobblestone on a tree. If you see those, you are in the right place.

IT IS UP TO YOU TO GET THERE

For Donators, there is a warp: /warp jams work place (WITH spaces)

Re: Biggest project ever? (Server Discussion) Posted on 14 Oct : 20:15
Well, how big was Tetra? I'm curious to know in block-size because I personally have been on some big-ish builds. The first was Morjia, which technically had LOADS of districts, so, actually, when I think about it, it was about 500-700 blocks square, maybe more. But it was on the old map, so I can't check frown I personally had 2 builds that were technically part of Morjia, a 144*144 mob trap. That remains unfinished, because there were a few REALLY large caves and holes in it that i couldn't fill). There was also my 1:1 scale model of Allingdon Castle in the UK, of which I traded a set of full diamond armour for all of the blocks I needed (250 stacks of cobble). The thing about Morjia though, is that it had quite a bit of wild ground / ocean in-between its districts, which makes me wonder if it counts.

I was wondering what the largest project anyone has done on the server, block-wise?

This includes any past maps we have had and the current one.

Can you say how many blocks etc it was too.
